The Fund's objective is to achieve optimal capital growth over the long term through the active management of a portfolio of large-capitalisation stocks based primarily in a member country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.
The investment strategy is based on a fundamental analysis. The stock selection process is based on the activity of companies, their governance, financial structure, and development prospects. The fund aims to identify companies with dominant positions, high reinvestment capacity, and low debt.
The recommended investment horizon is 5 years. The reference currency is the Euro.
Markets
European markets were in the red in October, with the Euro Stoxx 50 down -2.88%, the CAC 40 down -2.15% and the Stoxx Europe 600 down -3.88%.
Most sectors were in the red as well during the month, with a positive movement thanks to the return of inflation and rising interest rates for the Energy sector as a rare outlier (+8.59%) along with the Banks sector (+7.37%). On the other hand, the Technology sector bore the brunt of the losses (-12.08%).
The Fund
The fund underperformed the Stoxx Europe 600 (-13.44% vs -3.88%). It is rare, but no position posted a positive performance over the month.
Only Air Liquide (-0.10%) and Unilever (-2.21%) manage to minimize losses.
