Strategy
The Fund's objective is to achieve optimal capital growth over the long term through the active management of a portfolio of large-capitalisation stocks based primarily in a member country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.
The investment strategy is based on a fundamental analysis. The stock selection process is based on the activity of companies, their governance, financial structure, and development prospects. The fund aims to identify companies with dominant positions, high reinvestment capacity, and low debt.
The recommended investment horizon is 5 years. The reference currency is the Euro.
Markets
Just as for the United States, European markets had another good month and continued the positive movement, already initiated end of last year, with the Euro Stoxx 50 up +4.22%, the Stoxx Europe 600 up +3.65%, and the CAC 40 up +3.51%.
Sector wise, the Banks Sector led the charge at +9.06%, while the Technology Sector gained only +0.63%.
The Fund
FFM European Selection ended the month (29.02.2024 - 28.03.2024) up +1%, underperforming all relevant indices with, over the same period, the Euro Stoxx 50 up +4.22%, the Stoxx Europe 600 up +3.65%, and the CAC 40 up +3.51%.
The monthly top three consisted of Novo Nordisk (+8.22%), EssilorLuxottica (+6.90%), and Alfa Laval (+4.66%). On the other side, we find Sonova (-6.12%), Dassault Systèmes (-4.97%), and GazTransport & Technigaz (-3.15%).
